Civil Engineering Services for Northwest Ohio

We design and manage road improvement, intersection reconstruction, and pavement rehabilitation projects for Ohio municipalities, townships, and ODOT. Services include local roadway resurfacing, widening, and full depth design, intersection design, parking facility design, right-of-way services, and bike path integration.

We perform structural analysis and condition surveys for multiple types of structures, including all types and sizes of bridges. We inspect, inventory, and load rate bridges per ODOT/FHWA regulations. We design bridge projects, both rehabilitations and new.

Our services include right-of-way, hydraulic studies, maintenance of traffic design, bridge design, bid support, and construction inspection.

We design traffic signal systems, conduct corridor and signal studies, and develop traffic flow management plans. Services include signal design, signing and pavement marking plans, accident countermeasure analysis, parking and traffic impact studies, and maintenance of traffic plans for construction projects.

We design shared-use paths, multi-use trails, bicycle paths, and pedestrian trail systems for communities across Northwest Ohio. Projects include park paths, golf course paths, playgrounds, and trail connections along utility right-of-ways, waterways, and limited-access highways.

Services include alignment, ADA compliance, surface design, and coordination with ODOT, ODNR, and local park districts.

We design water main extensions, water distribution systems, and sanitary sewer systems in compliance with federal and state clean water regulations. Services include hydraulic analysis, system design, and construction administration.

We prepare civil engineering plans for streetscape improvement projects, integrating pedestrian infrastructure, lighting, signage, and site amenities into broader roadway and utility projects. Projects have included CDBG-funded improvements in Maumee and Waterville.

We design storm water management systems addressing flooding, drainage, and Ohio EPA compliance for communities and public agencies. Services include detention and retention basin design, storm sewer systems, roadside swales, floodway assessments, culvert and bridge hydraulics, dikes, dams and floodwalls, pumping stations, drainage master plans, and stream restoration.

Proudfoot manages Ohio EPA permitting requirements for civil engineering projects. Services include NPDES storm water permitting, waterline and sanitary sewer permitting, and coordination with state and federal regulatory agencies throughout the design and construction process.
