Founded in 1887, we are the oldest continuously operating civil engineering firm in the region. We are Native American owned and certified as a Minority and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.

Joseph Hoffman founded the firm in 1887 as Toledo Surveyors. Porter W. McDonnell took over in 1931. Paul Proudfoot purchased the firm in 1967, beginning the Native American ownership that continues today under Paul Proudfoot II.
